About Dr. Morgan-Swaney (he/him)

This work is hard, so let’s work with ourselves instead of against ourselves for a change, shall we? My intention is to show up for you as you grow in your capacity to show up for yourself and others. Practice makes permanent, not perfect. I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative clinical counselor who engages in mutually empathic, growth-fostering, and compassion-centric relationships that empower diverse folks to meet their mental health, wellness, education, and career goals. Both through our work together and as a result of it, we will foster a renewed zest for life, self-worth, clarity, creativity, and a desire for meaningful connection.

I have experience working with adolescents (ages 13+) and adults living with myriad mental health and substance use concerns in a community agency, a pediatric hospital, a university training clinic, and private practice. My clinical specialization is working alongside LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse folks (i.e., clients with ADHD and/or autistic clients). While the bulk of my work has mainly been treating anxiety disorders, I have had ample practice addressing concerns stemming from mood disorders, oppressive societal forces, and traumatic relational experiences.

In addition to clinical work, I am a part-time senior lecturer and training supervisor in a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate degree program.
Dr. Morgan-Swaney is currently offering in-office and telehealth (virtual) appointments on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays beginning at 9am and ending by 8pm. Dr. Morgan-Swaney currently has a waitlist.
