Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck or unsure how to move forward? Are you living with symptoms of depression or anxiety? Maybe you have experienced past trauma and are working to reduce its impact on your current functioning. Perhaps you are “the strong one”, the one on whom others rely, and you haven’t had time to prioritize your own feelings and needs. Maybe you feel you have been in survival mode for too long and recognize it is time for a change so you can start to thrive.
I combine person-centered therapy with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in a warm, collaborative space built on mutual respect and compassion. I am currently pursuing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I have over 20 years of experience providing therapy to clients of all ages (children, adolescents, and adults) and ability levels. One of my passions is serving individuals with autism and/or intellectual disabilities, as well as individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness. I have provided services in various settings, including private practice, community mental health centers, university training clinics, schools, day programs, residential placements, and inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
In addition to clinical practice, I am a part-time senior lecturer in a Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s degree program.
